Dr. Lisa F. Bennett

Dr. Lisa Bennett, M.D., M.S. is a vascular surgeon who specializes in endovascular and open vascular surgery for treatment of the whole spectrum of aortic, peripheral vascular and cerebrovascular pathologies.

Dr. Bennett earned her medical degree at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She completed residency in general surgery and a surgical research fellowship at the University of Colorado Department of Surgery. She received advanced training in vascular and endovascular surgery through fellowship at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. She also holds a master’s degree in Clinical Science from the University of Colorado. She is certified in vascular imaging interpretation.

Dr. Bennett joined Colorado Cardiovascular Surgical Associates in 2019. She performs minimally invasive and open surgical therapies tailored to meet her patients’ needs and goals. Her interests include aneurysms, carotid artery disease, exposure for surgery of the spine, and limb salvage.

Dr. Marcus R. Kret

Dr. Marcus R. Kret

Dr. Marcus Kret is Colorado native and a graduate of the University of Colorado – Boulder. He attended the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago, IL where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Following medical school, Dr. Kret received his General Surgery training at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, OR. During this time, he also completed a one-year research fellowship in vascular surgery that led to several peer-reviewed publications.

Dr. Kret completed his clinical fellowship in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Stanford University, where he gained extensive experience in complex endovascular repair of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms, including the the use of branched and fenestrated technology. In addition, he received training in both open and endovascular therapies for carotid and lower extremity arterial disease, dialysis access creation and maintenance, as well as endovenous ablation for varicose veins.

When not treating patients, Dr. Kret enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children, Cooper and Madeleine. He is an avid skier and is excited to introduce his family to the year-round outdoor activities that abound in Colorado.

Dr. Myles S. Guber

Dr. Myles S. Guber

Dr. Myles S. Guber has extensive experience in complex mitral valve repair surgery and has performed “small incision” mitral and aortic valve surgery for many years. Robotic surgery was a natural extension of his previous surgical experience. His extensive experience encompasses all aspects of adult cardiac and thoracic surgery.

Dr. Guber received both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Northwestern University in Chicago, Ill. He trained in general surgery at Louisiana State University and completed his cardiac surgical training at University of Southern California, Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles.

Dr. Guber was recently selected as a Castle Connelly Top Doctor in the field of Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery after being nominated by his peers as an outstanding physician.

Dr. Sanjay Tripathi

Dr. Sanjay Tripathi attended medical school in India. After completing his first internship he came to the US for his residency in General Surgery in Pennsylvania. He completed his thoracic surgery residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Most recently he was the medical director of the Robotic and Minimally invasive cardiothoracic and vascular surgery program at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka, Kansas.

Dr. Tripathi joins CCVSA with vast experience in all aspects of cardiothoracic surgery. He has a special interest in Robotic procedures such as mitral and tricuspid valve repair, cryomaze for atrial fibrillation, and excisions. He is board certified.

Dr. Colleen S. Hupp

Dr. Colleen S. Hupp

Dr. Colleen Hupp attended medical school at the University of Health Sciences in Missouri.  She completed her General Surgery Residency at the University of Kansas followed by her Vascular Surgery Fellowship at the University of Missouri. Dr. Hupp was Assistant Professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center for three years where she enjoyed working with medical students and residents as they progressed through their training.  She also has always been extremely  interested in mentoring and encouraging women interested in a career in surgery.

In 2015, Dr. Hupp moved back to her home state and joined CCVSA.

In her spare time, Dr. Hupp enjoys spending time with her husband and children and is an avid equestrian.

Dr. Eric S. Weinstein

Dr. Eric S. Weinstein

Dr. Eric Weinstein received his Bachelor Awards Degree from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Upon graduation, he enrolled in Medical School at the State University of New York at Buffalo where he received his MD Degree. Dr. Weinstein completed a General Surgery Residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and then went on to extend his training with a vascular fellowship at the University of California in San Francisco.

Dr. Weinstein is Board Certified in both General and Vascular Surgery. He was Associated Professor of Surgery and Chief of Vascular Surgery at the University of New Mexico from 1989 to 1996 before joining Denver Vascular Surgical Associates. That group merged with Colorado Cardiovascular Surgical Associates in 2000.Dr. Weinstein is a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery as well as the Western Vascular Surgical Society and is a past President of the Rocky Mountain Vascular Surgical Society. He has received extensive endovascular training for New Emerging Vascular Therapies most recently having completed a two-month Endovascular Fellowship in Hawaii.

Dr. Weinstein has numerous publications in the Vascular and Endovascular Literature. He is involved in all aspects of vascular disease and has a special interest in the treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms, stroke prevention and endovascular therapies. He, along with other members of his group, has been recognized as a top Vascular Surgeon in the 5280 Magazine.

Dr. Srikant Sivaraman

Dr. Srikant Sivaraman

Dr. Sivaraman obtained his medical degree from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine in 2012, followed by the successful completion of his General Surgery residency at the University of Maryland in 2017. He completed his Vascular Surgery fellowship at Wayne State/Detroit Medical Center, which he completed in 2019. Dr. Sivaraman holds dual board certifications in general surgery, and vascular surgery.
Srikant Sivaraman, MD, is committed to providing comprehensive care to his patients, specializing in all aspects of Vascular Surgery, with a special passion for carotid artery disease, advanced limb salvage techniques, and vascular trauma.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Sivaraman finds fulfillment in various activities. He is an avid long-distance runner, biker, and skier! Additionally he enjoys time with friends and family.
